What speeds do you get directly from the router over 2.4ghz? Not from the extender.
this is key. the extender can't perform faster than the router is because the routers wireless is what the extender is running off. If something happened to the router to cause a lowered speed or a changed channel to a more congested channel, then it impacts the extender as well.
Its like a garden hose. it doesn't matter what type of end you put on the hose if someone is standing on the hose, its still going to come out in a trickle. Make sure there aren't any issues with the router's performance first. Test the routers 2.4ghz speed where the extender is. If its the same speed that the extender is getting, its because of the router.

I think I understand, from a wireless connection I got around the same (before cut) down/up (just a bit less) as I mainly got the extender for download speeds. But I did get from 20-35down wireless and around 8up

did you try logging into the router to test different channels? I'd recommend 1-6-11.
- YeetmeisterFeb 11, 2020AspirantI got those down/ups on the router without the extender and the extender just boosted them to 30-40down and around 10up

Or what speeds are you getting now directly from the router?
