Question about hooking a device up to my extender.

so a quick breakdown of my set up.
My ISP is ATT U-verse DSL
I have a Netgear Gateway Model # 7550
my extender is a Netgear WN3000RP
connected directly to the Gateway is my Xbox one, Dell Laptop, and Directv box, Connected by Wifi I have a couple of cellphones,Ipad, a Wifi Blueray Player,Wii and an LG Smart TV model number 47LA6200.

Now my question.
The TV is what is giving me problems. I have it set up in the sun room which is roughly 100 ft from the Gateway. It's down a straight halway with no turns so there really isnt any walls, (Unless the door to the sunroom is closed.) I tried conneting wirlessly to the gateway, the TV can see the signal but doesnt have a steady connection. So I tried my extender. It can connect but the connection is not stable, especially if I am streaming video I.E. Netflix. and the TV will drop off. I am getting to the point where I think I have to run cat5 up through the attic to the TV (which is something I really dont want to do.) So I was wondering can I connect the TV directly to the extender? and possibly cut out and second wireless signal?
