R7000P not working after reset to default settings
I got a new router and had to reset the WNCE2001. After I pressed the "reset" with a paperclip, it does not show up on the wifi list for my phone, laptop, or any other device. It should show up as "NETGEAR78_EXT" so I can reconfigure it, but there's nothing anymore. I tried looking for "mywifiext.net" online but nothing there either. It's past the 90 days so I can't return it. What should I try now, please?

Re: R7000P not working after reset to default settings
Are you certain you have the WNCE2001? There's nothing in the manual that suggests NETGEAR78_EXT. http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WNCE2001/WNCE2001_UM_24Sep10.pdf
Per the manual, the WNCE2001 doesn't have a client-facing wifi network. It is used more like a wifi adapter - extending the router wifi to ethernet.
You didn't actually need to reset the extender, browsing to www.mywifiext.net and changing the wifi nework name/password should have been enough. In any event, you should try connecting a PC to the LAN port of the WNCE2001 and then browse to http://www.mywifiext.net. If the PC also has wifi, then make sure you turn it's wifi off.
