Range Extender AC1200 EX6200

Question

Hi&nbsp;
&nbsp;
I just bought the NETGEAR AC1200 WIFI RANGE EXTENDER&nbsp;
&nbsp;
MODEL EX 6200v2
&nbsp;
I activated it for the most part but the 5 GHz Link Rate is not lighting up &nbsp; - only the 2.4 GHz Link is&nbsp;
&nbsp;
There are 2 houses on the same lot&nbsp;
&nbsp;
1 has 2.4 internet
and another has 5&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;
I have the Extender in the back house with the 2.4 internet speed - and I'm tryying to extend my WiFI range to the back yard in order to activate a pool app to work
&nbsp;
Does anybody know ?&nbsp; SHOULD I PLACE THE RANGE EXTENDER IN THE FRONT HOUSE WITH THE BETTER INTERNET?
