Range Extender ex7000 network issue
Hello.
I bought the Nighthawk range extender ex7000 today.
I configured it correctly, it worked fine.
After a few hours I got ping issues, Which I didn't have before.
My ping goes up to 400+ this is very annoying.
I'm having these issues on my ps4 wireless and via wifi.
It's like I can't multitask, (Can't play on my ps4 and watch youtube) when I'm on youtube my ping goes up like crazy.
Any ideas to fix this problem?

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
In what mode have you configured the EX7000? Is it set up as an Access Point or Extender, if extender are you using one of the Fastlane options? What is the base station that the EX7000 connects to?

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
I have it set up as an extender, and I'm not using the fastlane options.

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
What is the base-station? Is it and/or the client devices dual band? If so then Fastlane could make a significant difference to performance.

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
My router is dual band, but not all of my devices are dual band.

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
Well in that case you could try using Fastlane with the connection from the extender to the router using the 5GHz band. You may possibly have range issues with that though, but it might be worth testing it out.

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
I'm having range issues, how is it possible that I'm having ping issues using my lan cable?
I never experienced these problems with my router.
I wanted to buy a range extender to connect my devices via cable but apparently that does not work either

Re: Range Extender ex7000 network issue
Posts 1 and 3 suggest that the issue is wireless, and potentially with repeating, are you now saying that a client which is wired to the EX7000 has an issue?
Otherwise, wireless repeating using the same frequency band e.g. 2.4GHz can cause delays because it is not possible to both receive data and transmit at the same time on the same channel, this is a limitation of an extender which can only be overcome if the device has multiple radios.
