Range extender for outbuilding
I am trying to get wifi access in my studio, which is 60-70 feet from my house. I am running an Actiontec wireless DSL modem/router from Verizon (model #GT784WNV), which does not have an antenna. Can anyone tell me the cheapest/best equipment to extend my wifi to my studio? Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Range extender for outbuilding
This is a N300 WIFI Range Extender.
Place it in Your studio, as close as possible to Your house. Move it around until the link indicator lights green. Yellow will do but may mean slower connection between the 2 units.
This range extender is pretty sensitive and does a nice job.
I am forced to have my LTE modem placed in my workshop which is about 50 feet away from my house. The Range Extender gives me WIFI internet inside my main house.
Setup of the Range Extender is straight forward. Genie will do it for You or You can log in to the range extender manually, pick the network You want to extend, and that is it.
Best of luck to You.

Re: Range extender for outbuilding
I have a somewhat similar problem, but with significantly greater range & obstructions issues and am not confident enough that the WN2000RPT would do the job to make the purchase - actually doubt that it would do what I need.
Hope you have found a solution. Sorry I don't have the expertise to make a suggestion unless everything you are running is on one AC service panel and on the same circuit breaker (which seems like a very unlikely scenerio to me). That requirement seems totally rediculous to me. What reasonably modern building/house, these days, would have any wifi dead zones that were on common breakers? Don't know what the manufacturers are thinking about.
