Recommendation for an Access Point
Does Netgear have an access point they sell or is the recommendation to purchase another firewall and set it up as an access point? Seems too expensive to purchase another $350 Nighthawk router when I am going to use it strictly as an access point? Trying to run internet to my garage and planning to run a CAT6 cable between the house and the garage. So just need an access point that will do the job. Recommendations?
thanks,

Re: Recommendation for an Access Point
Many of the netgear extenders have access point mode (not all). Fairly reasonalby priced. You can go from $30 basic ones with AP mode or $200 triband extenders. All depends on features/bandwidth you want in the garage
Or you can go the business class route and get something like the wac104 or wac124. Just kind of depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
