Repeater Mode Issue
Hi,
I have a Netgear DGN3500 ADSL2 with integrated modem router which is configured as an access point for various PC's and mobile devices to access the internet.
I have a computer running Windows Millenium Edition in my back garden but cannot connect it to the DGN3500 due to it being out of range. To tackle this problem, I bought a Netgear WG602 V4 wireless access point which I intended to put into repeater mode so that it sends all traffic requests to the DGN3500.
I have successfully activated repeater mode on the Netgear WG602 admin page by selecting the radio button situated next to the 'Repeater with Wireless Client Association' option and I have typed in the physical MAC address of the DGN3500 device.
Now here comes the problem bit; I have logged into the admin page for the DGN3500 device and have selected the 'wireless settings' option from the side menu. I have then selected 'enable wireless repeating function', selected the 'wireless repeater' radio button and then typed in the physical MAC address of the DG602 V4 device. Up on clicking the 'apply' button, a dialog box appears stating '192.168.0.1 @AWRE03 %'
This message doesn't tell me anything useful so I don't know what action to take. Any help would be appreciated as I've spent 5 hours trying to get the two devices 'talking' to each other and I haven't got anywhere.
Note: I have read the DGN3500 instruction manual for setting up the repeater mode function here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGN3500/DGN3500_UM_19Nov09.pdf and as per the instructions, I have configured each device with the same channel, security settings and encryption settings.

Re: Repeater Mode Issue
I have the same issue: after entering the MAC address of the remote wifi router and after pressing "Apply", I get a Javascript messagebox:
@AWRE03
%
What kind of message is this? It doesn't tell anything about the error!

Re: Repeater Mode Issue
Bump...
I'm having the same problem with this router. Along with a bunch of other BUGS, like it just won't reconnect the ADSL until you reboot the whole thing and you can't disable the router's wireless pin.
I have an older version of this router and it doesn't have any of these problems.
