Almost all Netgear routers and wireless extenders are making use of the maximum allowed emitted power.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) does supposedly bring some small advantage - but not on total range, just more throughput at lower signal levels than 802.11ac/802.11n.
Key point is not the router or radio alone - much more all devices in the same wireless must be able to "see" each other for optimal performance.
It's always better to install multiple AP (with a switched wired backbone) than trying to cover a large space (buildings suck anyway due to different building and isolation materials) by a single device.
