Setting up extender 1750
Bought for 'easy setup'... downloaded Nighthawk App but the app just Times Out when you try to access. Tried to find the NETGEAR_EXT in wifi settings after gettong green indicator light but not listed as option. Tried clicking on other two possible Netgear options in wifi settings and asks for password. Help!

Re: Setting up extender 1750
You have the EX6250?
did you try setup using wps?
If so, its default setup is using mesh. meaning it has the same ssid as the router .

Re: Setting up extender 1750
Thanks...tried that but it didnt work either. The Netgear_ext does not show up as an option so i can't use the installation assistant either.

Re: Setting up extender 1750
So does this make sense..if the ethernet is connect directly to the extender, it works. When u unplug it and try to use via wifi, the wifi name does not appear on the wifi list anymore

Re: Setting up extender 1750
The EX6250 is a mesh device. meaning it'll have the same ssid as the router.
You won't "see" it unless you change the ssid name on it.
If its working when you're hardwired into it, its connecting to the router.
