Re: Setting up range extender with base router SSID broadcast turned off

All of the range extender installation manuals just say to select the base router SSID (and enter the password) to connect. But I don't see an option to manually enter the SSID of a router whose SSID broadcast is turned off (which means WPS is also off). Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Hi @boblinthewild,
This is possible. You need to scroll to the bottom of screen when it shows list of existing networks where you'll have a choice to enter SSID manually and input security type and passphrase of your existing network to setup extender with routers whose SSID is hidden.

Thanks! My new Netgear extender is coming tomorrow, so this comes at a perfect time. Much appreciated.
