Slow 5GHz connection on AC3000 tri band wifi extender
Hi, I've setup the product as a wifi extender to my nighthawk router, and on mywifiext, it shows that I have 1000 mpbs connection with strong signal strength, but when I connect to its wifi and run anything, it shows only 50mpbs max. I'm literally 5 feet away from the router, not sure what to do, please help.

Re: Slow 5GHz connection on AC3000 tri band wifi extender
The EX8000 does band steering.
Is it enabled? And if so, are you resting over the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz? (2.4ghz is a slow network)
What speeds do you get if you directly connect a pc/laptop to the extender with ethernet.
