Smart Connect or not to Smart Connect? Nighthawk Mesh X4S with Nighhawk X6 AC3200 -

Hi, 

I have both a Nighthawk Wifi extender and a Nighthawk router. Does selecting 'smart connect' on the router effect the power of the Wifi extender? 

I know the Mesh has a 'smart connect' option also, do yout turn this on bother devices?
