Still here since June dealing with the same issue. Should just go buy another one but I hate losing. Netgear 3700 extender.......... I have done everything suggested re. reset, hardwire, on and on. I can see the laptop in the shop is seeing the extender but it is still locked and asks for the security key. I have tried every number on the router and every number on the extender and every password I can remember and nothing works. When I did the factory reset I got to the same spot and could not advance. Is there a way to unlock without having the security key? At this point,, the last try, I'll try anything.
