The SSID of my Nighthawk Router and EX7300 Don't Match
My AC Nighthawk Range Extender was not getting recognized the list of networks so I used the factory reset thinking that would restore the necessary connections. I was wrong. Now the range extender IDs are listed as NETGEAR74_EXT and NETGEAR74-5G_EXT while the router shows up on the list as NETGEAR36 and NETGEAR36_5G. I tried logging in with the default password "password" to no avail. I also tried liinking to http://mywifiext.local, but all I get is "DNS cannot be found."
FYI, I'm using an iMac running OSX 10.7.5.
Please tell me what I need to do to again sync the range extender to the same network as the router.
