Thick Walls
Hi, I have recently purchased a Hive heating system from Amazon which is
doing a great job of managing our Oil boiler driven hot water and heating.
Because our cottage is very old (circa 1800) and built of stone, the walls are extremely
thick, about 3 feet. The boiler is in an adjoining outbuilding and placing
the receiver next to the boiler and the wiring centre means that although we
have really efficient BT FTTP WiFi it still can not communicate with the
rest of the system. I have had to drill the wall and bring the receiver in
to the dining room alongside the thermostat.
As I said all is working fine but I would prefer to have the receiver out of
sight if possible. Can anyone recommend any products which would cope with a three foot thickness wall or would I be wasting my money.
I have a mains power socket which is in good range of my WiFi on one side of the wall and a power socket on the other side which is where I would install the receiver.
Many thanks

Re: Thick Walls
Hi @Motorbike_John,
You can look for powerline adapter provided wall outlets on both side of walls are in same circuit breaker.
