Unable to connect to EX8000 in Nighthawk App (correct password is rejected)
As the title suggests, I have a network consisting of a R7800 and an EX8000. I have the entire system up and running correctly via my browser on my laptop, but when I try logging into the nighthawk app on my android, the EX8000 is impossible to log into.
The password is currently set to the same password I use to login to my R7800. The app has no problem accepting the R7800's password. The EX8000 does not accept that password, nor does it accept the default 'admin/password' combo. I have tried resetting the EX8000 several times to no avail. No matter what password I try to use it doesn't let me login to my Extender via the app.
I have verified that the password currently used to login to the extender is the same as the R7800's because as you can see in the screenshot I attached, I can access the login page of the Extender via my browser and I can get inside it just fine that way. The same password registers as incorrect on the app, and eventually leads to timeouts due to failed attempts - needing to wait 30 seconds or more between login attempts.
When I first bought the extender it worked fine in the App for the first few days or so but at some point I reset the Extender or changed its password to the same as my router and the problem I currently face occurred.
Needless to say the 90 day period for free support is now over and I'm livid because of a lack of product support for something I spent my entire paycheck on (that seems to be an app issue to begin with.) At this point I'm planning on never buying another netgear product again, but I figured I'd try to check here before I take that final extreme step.
