Unable to reset password on AC760 model EX3700

Question

I am unable to reset the password for the Netgear AC750 range extender. When I select forgot password, the field to confirm the password is grayed out as shown in the image below. Besides being incredibly frustrated, I would like to learn why this is happening and how I can change the password on this device. I've tried changing the password at least 10 times using different browsers and different6 OSs, with the same infuriating result. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,

1. you have to type in a a compatible password into the first field to be able to access the 2nd one.&nbsp;
2. You could just factory reset and reinstall it. Might be faster.&nbsp;
