Unplugged my extender and im not longer able to connect to 5ghz network

I setup my extender i used in a dorm to connect to my new network but after it had a worse signal i decided not to use it. Now when i try to connnect to the 5ghz network it says it cant. I try connec...

whats your old router? 

Why do you think the extender is impacting your device if the extender is off?

Its a c6250. The extender was plugged in and didnt improve the connection so i removed it. Now going back to the regular signal i cant connect to the 5ghz

    what error does it give you? 

    Have you tried hardwiring into the c6250 to check its ssid/password?
