Use Extender with University WiFi?

Hello,

I was given a Chromecast as a birthday present and I was advised to purchase a WiFi extender.

I've tried to set up the extender via the www.mywifiext.net page, which was all fine until it still required the username and password, which the chromecast can't do!

Is there any way to create my own wifi loop which is separate from my uni's username and password wifi, and only requires a password to connect to?

Hello EloiseQ

After setup it should act like a wireless network and should only ask for a password try to factory reset the unit by holding the reset button for 10 seconds and then try the setup again.
