Our WRN2000RPTv2 extender now wants a user name as well as a password and we don’t have one, it has never been required. I’ve tried using “admin” with and without a full stop as has been suggested in past answers and that doesn’t work. Any thoughts?
maybe somehow one was setup when you first installed and its just not remembered or wasn't recognized.
the defaults (case sensative) are:
login: admin
password: password
If somehow they were changed and you don't remember/know them, you can factory reset the device to get back to the default names. Then set up the device and password.
to reset, push and hold reset for 7-10 seconds while powered on. the lights should change/blink when you've held it long enough.
