WAC510 - MAC ID SHOWING ON INSIGHT APP IS NOT SAME AS ON THE ACTUAL UNIT
I am trying to re-install my WAC510 wireless access point
i am using the Insight App and have it connected to a Poe + app managed smart cloud switch model gc510p
i have reset the WAC to try an initiate a new setup but when it is requiring an update of the firmware first
I got it to show up on the device listing on Insight app, but notice that the MAC ID did not match the MAC ID on the back of the unit
any idea why and/or what can be done to fix this issue as I am speculating it is causing issues with the firmware not completing the update
thx

Re: WAC510 - MAC ID SHOWING ON INSIGHT APP IS NOT SAME AS ON THE ACTUAL UNIT
Hm, strange. Does the MAC address differ +/-1[2|3] ? In router mode, there are four MAC addresses (LAN, WAN, and the two radio interfaces), in AP mode, there are three (the LAN interface, and the two radios). But yes - I would assume the LAN interface is the one on the label, too.
Do a factory reset again, and update the firmware manually. Download from Netgear Support - WAC510 Downloads.
