WGR614v7 issues
Hi,
Suddenly from yesterday morning, my WGR614v7 is behaving abnormally. It connects to the cable modem just fine. It is getting its IP , DNS and others from the cable modem . I've verified this using the router status page. The problem is I can't browse/ping/nslookup all the time. The outage is sporadic. I can access the internet for 10 secs then not. And again after 5 secs it comes back..
Rebooting the router and modem did not help.
Is my router broken?
The lastest firmware update helps ? I can see the latest one is from 2009.
Help plz
Paras.

No clear is if you test with ONLY wireless or both wired and wireless
router from 2009 may look old but should work if properly setup and using such as backup UPS with it but if not and issues are only wireless then you could have an worn out unit.
Test both wireless and wired when issues arise and do more diagnostics.
before you do firmware upgrade, simply hard reset the router first and observe
