WN2000RPT Range Extender - Occasional "red light"

I have a range extender which is working successfully over the last 6 months EXCEPT every day or 2, the red light comes on meaning that it's lost it's connection with my main network. I turn it off and on and the unit works fine for a couple of days. And then ...
