WN3000 remains connected to an old network

Hello everyone,

I bought a WN3000 some months ago and I used successfully til now with my network (Alice-000000 --> Alice-000000_EXT).

Now I changed my internet provider and I have a new network (Telecom-000000) and I would like to extend it (Telecom-000000_EXT).

Instead, if i try to install WN3000, my computer recognizes the old obsolete network: Alice-000000_EXT.
I resetted the extender, but the problem remains.
How can I do to make the extender connect to my new network?

Thank you in advance

Re: WN3000 remains connected to an old network

@matteo84 Follow these steps:

1. Connect to Alice-000000_EXT.

2. Access mywifiext.net.

3. Under Setup click on Connect to Existing Network.

4. Select the new SSID = Telecom-000000.

5. Change your existing SSID = Alice-000000_EXT to Telecom-000000_EXT. You can use the same password if you want.

6. Once changed go to your computer's WiFi connections and connect to Telecom-000000_EXT.

@storm1985 thanks for your reply, but I fail to connect to Alice, even if I see it in my wi-fi networks list..

Reset the extender and connect to the default SSID.

Push the reset button for 10seconds. Power light responds when you push it.

The extender SSID should be back to NETGEAR_EXT which is an unsecured network.

Once connected wirelessly to that network, open a browser which redirects you to mywifiext.net.

Go through the setup wizard and reconnect your extender to the new SSID of your router.

You can also check the Installation guide.
