WN3000RPv2 Firmware Problem - unable to update due to img/chk format
Hi. I have the WN3000RPv2 which is currently on the V1.0.0.36 firmware. The support pages say the latest firmware is V1.0.2.64 and provides a download. The problem is, the current firmware (.36) only allows you to upload a file with extension .img. The file download has extension .chk and won't upload. The error message says:
Please assign the correct file. (The file format is "*.img")
The automatic 'check' for updates from within the (.36) firware does not identify any available updates.
Does anyone know if its actually even possible to update from .36 to .64 ?
Thanks in advance,
Rich.

I'm afraid not. I suspect Netgear have given up support with this product. Not good.

Same problem. Also my unpacker indicates "WN3000RP-V1.0.2.64_1.1.86.chk . . . Recovered file fragments" and behaves as others have said. Have tried mutiple times hard wired to the extender with my laptop as well on my pc.
