The extender has been installed and set-up done . Works fine ... for a couple of days only.

Then  extender gets systematically default IP 192.168.1.250.  No internet excess , although all leds green and  looks everything Ok on. 'mywifiext.   Reboot of main router or restore factory setting and new set-up of extender restores correct IP and internet access  only for one or two days until I get again the default IP on the extender !!

Welcome to the community!

1. What is the firmware version of the extender?

2. Does the issue persist if the extender is closer to the router?

3. If your router supports Address Reservation, that is something that you can try and check if the issue remains.

4. Have you tried changing the wireless channel of the main router?

The firmware of the extender is V1.0.2.66
The issue is indeed same when extender placed in same room as router.
I don’t believe router supports Address Reservation . It has an IP pool from 1.1 to 1.63
The extender work properly when receiving IP 192.168.1.1 , but sometimes it doesn’t get it and works with the default IP 192.168.1.250 without internet access.
I started with channel 10 , changed to channel 1 . Same issue
