WN3500RP router password reset

Can someone please direct me on how to chage a Wifi extender login password?  I'm trying to reactivate an old extender but cannot recall the password

Easiest way? Factory reset it. Push and hold reset while its powered on until the lights change. 

Then you can start back from factory.
