WNDAP360 and vlans
I am trying to get a wndap360 access point to talk on multiple vlans through my Ciscso switching fabric. I want one security profile on vlan 55 and another on vlan 57. The AP is attacehd to a 3750 and teh access control server si attached to a 4948. Each vlan must appear on a different interface (E1 and E2) on the access control server.
[AP]
| (vlans 55 & 57)
|
[3750]
.
.
[ 4948 ]
|55 |57
| |
[E1 E2]
I set up the security profiles and they work as long as they are both an the same vlan or on vlan 1. When I set them on vlans 55 and 57 the profile on 57 cannot get through. The 3750 port is set to negotiate trunking (switchport mode dynamic desireable) and all vlans are enabled.
The AP does not negotiate trunk mode and if I set it to unconditional trunking it cannot be reached. It is set to vlan 55 when in access mode.
Any suggestions on how to get the trunking to work?

trial and error...
I switched the untagged VLAN on the access points to 3.
On each port an AP's plugs into I set:
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk native vlan 3
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport access vlan 3
The last instruction may not be necessary. I think I set while testing and never bothered to set it back.
