WNR2200 firmware
This might seem like a daft question, but please bear with me.
My Netgear WNR2200 has Firmware version 1.0.1.62.
If I Google 'WNR2200 Firmware 1.0.1.62 upgrade', I get a page from Netgear offering me a download of 1.0.1.62...
But is this an UPGRADE to 1.0.1.62, or is it FIXING 1.0.1.62?
Reason for question: I need my router fixing.
I can connect a static iMac to the internet, wirelessly, through the router, no problem, but I CAN'T connect a laptop (situated 2 or 3 yards away). Well, I can sometimes, for up to 12 hours, then it drops out, and won't reconnect.
So if it works sometimes, and not others, my best guess is that it is an intermittent router problem, and that firmware upgrade might fix it.
Any ideas? If it doesn't sound like my firmware is wrong, any other good suggestions very welcomed.
Thanks.
Allen, London.

Re: WNR2200 firmware
Don't understand the answer.
Can I put my question differently?
I have Netgear WNR2200 with Firmware version 1.0.1.62.
WHAT is the next Firmware version UP from that,
and
would it solve my problem?
Allen.
