WiFi Range Extender has made no difference
EX2700 - N300 WiFi Range Extender
Everthing is working but the device has not extended the range of my WiFi.
I'm trying to extend from my router to garden studio.
My router is a the front door. Studio is in back garden approx 15m from router.
I've tried plugging into back of house and in front of the garage which is before my studio.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Re: WiFi Range Extender has made no difference
What is your house and garden office materials. Many materials such as brick, concrete, foil lined insulation, plaster lathe, adobe, stucco do great jobs of blocking wifi signals. It makes it challenging in these instances to get wifi to external structures or if you get the signal there, to get it inside the building.
Have you tried changing wifi channels? Sometimes there's interference on certain channels and switching can help.
What router are you using? An extender is only going to be as good as the device its connected to.
The ex2700 is also a pretty basic extender as well. A couple points to keep in mind.
