Wifi extender changing settings

mostly using Mac . Airport Express died and now the extender doesn’t recognise my internet connection. How to change the settings.

I'd factory reset it first. Then reinstall
Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.
Then follow the install guide.

Did the reset and the Netgear website wifi troubleshooting. Can’t remember all the things I tried but somehow all is ok now except for issues with the Canon printer not talking to the win 10 PC, still working on that but at least I can print from the iPad and iPhone now and occasionally from the old iMac.
