Wifi range extender

I have a netgear WiFi range extender WN1000RP. The extender works fine in open areas but when I move to another room, there is no connectivity.

Kindly help tried calling support but no help received.

How far away from the router is the WN1000RP?

Which router is connected to your WN1000RP? Have you tried selecting a different WiFi channel?
