Re: ac8000 flashing red light
first try recoving it via tftp.
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
make sure to enable tftp within windows.

a video walk through

if that doesn't work you can start the rma process online. Click mynetgear at the top, register an account and then your device. Once, done, there's options online to start the RMA process.

@nickw310771 wrote:Hmm that means nothing to me sorry - sounds like something way above my pay grade ----Its fairly easy to do and there's a pretty simple walk through video and instructions. 10 minutes of your time might save you a lot versus waiting on hold/returning. And its not like you can break it more 🙂 try to return product as suggested and guess what ' "please call - we're ready to help" - doh no you arent.-------have you seen the notices on all the forums? The call center is overwhelmed due to a ton of people having to work from home as well as sickness/their own work from home situation. Again, taking the time to try tftp might be worth it. ...i just want it replaced - its bust and within 12 months - i didnt purchase it from netgear but Amazon and that is who my contract is with as a Consumer - why are these things sooo difficult..-----Again, the current global situation has something to do with it.
