ex2700 setup not showing access point as an option. ONLY showing WIFI extender
I moved my ex2700 from one office to another. Performed full reset. When I accessed the device to run the new set up it the software only shows option for wifi extender and not access point. WHEN I follow the software for the wifi the device button is dark and the device it is plugged into has no internet.
Again, I know the product was working when I unplugged and moved it as an access point. However I had to do reset to move it to another network. Now I can't get it to allow me to set back up as a access point

Re: ex2700 setup not showing access point as an option. ONLY showing WIFI extender
That I'm aware of, the EX2700 has never had an access point mode. Its a base model extender and didn't include AP mode.
even the FAQ for the EX2700 states it can't be hardwired to a router/ap

It has a CAT 5 connection on the top of the unit and it was being used that way for the past year, so I am confused. I appreciate your reply.

It does have an ethernet port. that is used to connect devices (computers/tvs/etc) to.
Without an AP mode, it won't connect directly to your router through it.
