ex6100v2 running dhcp server on ethernet while in extender mode?
Hi all!
I have a Nethear ex6100v2 wireless extender/AP. I set it in extender mode and connected it to extend my home network. That all works as expected. What was NOT expected is that while my home network prefix is 192.168.0/24, a computer plugged into the extender's built-in ethernet port ends up with a address with prefix 192.168.1/24! This makes it look as though the extender is running a DHCP server on the ethernet port and automatically creating a 192.168.1/24 subnet! I would have expected that if it's configured as an extender, the wired port would also be part of the same subnet as the wireless network, 192.168.0/24.
I also have a Linksys extender box and it works as expected, allowing wired devices to be on the same subnet as the wired network.
i don't see any way to tell the Netgear box to NOT run a DHCP server on the ethernet port. Am I missing some configuration somewhere?
