Which link light? the router link light? the 2.4ghz link light? The 5ghz link light?
Need some specifics.
Firmware on the router?
Firmware on the extender?
Did you set it up via wps or the installation wizard?
Have you tried moving it further away?

The 5ghz link light? 5 ghz link light is amber----thats the connection from the extender to devices. its going to change as device roam around. plus since its only 1 light, it doesn't signify all the devices. To see all of their connections, you'd need to log into the extender to check their actual signal connection to the extender.

Its useful to show that devices are connected but since it can't show all devices, it should be more of just a "devices are connected" light and not show signal connection.
