extender not connecting to router-light not coming on

I can successfully connect my laptop to the extender. But I am unable to connect the exyender to the router. I cannot connect using WPS so have been trying to connect manually. Hit factory reset twice. Went through all steps online 5-8 times and get to a point of "success" but with no connection to internet. Using a PC. Extender is within three feet of router. Any help is appreciated!

You may want to contact support could be an issue with the extender.
