I've just purchased an ORBI satellite RBR850 to extend on my current RBR850 set up that has router plus two satellites. I have tried for two hours to set this additional one up. I've tried moving it into the same room as the router, I've connected it via ethernet cable and have factory rest but nothing is working. Is it faulty or is there another way to set this up? Appreciate your expert advice as this is awfully frustrating. Thanks, Steve
The orbi's seem to have issues when they're on different firmwares.
Check what firmware is on the current router and satellites.
then try logging into the new satellite to check. You can even manually update it if you can get into the satelliite.
One way to get into the satellite is hardwire a pc/laptop to it. After about 5 minutes or so, try going to 192.168.10.250 or 192.168.1.250 I think one of those addresses will let you connect to it to log in. From there you can try upgrading its firmware
