To manually connect the NETGEAR WiFi Extender, follow these steps:
If you have a NETGEAR WiFi Extender with an Ethernet connection (such as the EX6100), you can do the following:
Connect the NETGEAR WiFi Extender to a computer using an Ethernet wire.
Use mywifiext net to access the online user interface of your NETGEAR WiFi Extender.
You'll be asked to provide a username and password.
The following are the default login credentials:
Username
admin
Password:
password
Note that the case of the username and password is important.
Go to Setup > Wireless Settings when you've successfully logged in.
Under Security Options, look at the value in the Password (Network Key) box.
If the password does not match the password on your router, update it.
Apply the changes.Reconnect the NETGEAR WiFi Extender Setup to your Wi-Fi devices.
If you have a NETGEAR WiFi Extender (WN1000RP, for example) that does not have an Ethernet port:
Restore the factory default settings on your NETGEAR WiFi Extender.
Press and hold the Factory Settings button on the side panel for 7 seconds to do this.
Connect to your NETGEAR WiFi extender through Wi-Fi.
Use Mywifiext login setup page to access the online user interface of your NETGEAR WiFi Extender.
You'll be asked to provide a username and password.
The following are the default login credentials:
Note that the case of the username and password is important.
Set up your connection to your router using the setup wizard. (When reconnecting to the router, do not utilise WPS.)
Re-establish your connection
