increase speed WIFI and stability EX3700
Hello to everyone,
I bought this EX3700 but the signal is not very good and stable although is in a good position and not too far from my router Proximus (Beglum) that support 2.4/5GHz and every led are green
I have activeted the fast line option from 5 to 2.4, is it a good choise or someone have others advices?
Thanks a lot,

Re: increase speed WIFI and stability EX3700
A couple things.
1. 2.4ghz in almost pointless in locations with many routers (apartments, condo's, close living). Reason why is it broadcasts further and through more materials. And it has less bandwidth (channels 1-11 with overlap). So it suffers from much more interference. For that reason, fastlane isn't always the best.
2. You can expect standard extenders (not triband) to drop speeds 50% for devices connected to them. Reasonwhy is they have to send and recieve to both the router and devices and can't do both at once.
3. some optimization can be done. Things to optimize?
A. location. objects in walls can block wifi signals. Think hvac, plumbing, etc. Sometimes a lateral move can help as much as moving closer.
B. distance. sounds like you have a decent distance
C. materials. If your walls in between have things like concrete, plaster lathe, adobe, brick, its goin to be a struggle.
D. Wifi channel. You can do a wireless channel scan to optimize which channel you're broadcasting on.
4. The router. A lot depends on the router. its the backbone of a system. You can have the best extender in the world but if its running off a poor router, its going to perform poorly.
