security settings wac120

Hi - setting up AP in an existing network.  Managed to work out how to setup the AP to link int the existing network but have a question re.  security settings.  My network uses WAP2.  This seems to be the default for the wac120 as well so that should not need changing.  My question is do I need to setup a different (or in fact any) password in the AP? 
if I dont setup a password will I just be asked to enter the wifi ssid password  when I llog into the AP WiFi?
