utilizing WNR2000 v2 as an access point - can't change ip address
My addresses for my internal network are on the 192.168.0.xx address numbering system.
The new netgear WNR2000 I just picked up is on the 192.168.1.1 address.
I have plugged my laptop into the router directly (into an ethernet connection), and can access the Netgears' menu.
However, when I try to change the WNR2000 to the 192.168.0.xx address it crashes and has to be factory reset.
what am I missing? I've done this before with other netgear wireless routers, but can't get this one to accept the new address.

Re: utilizing WNR2000 v2 as an access point - can't change ip address
When you are changing the device IP then it will disconnect temporary from the interface
You need to either restart the pc so that you ge. The correct IP from the router or
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
With this command should change to new IP that DHCP or setup static IP on PC with new ip schem and you can access back
