wnhd3004 wont upgrade firmware

I live in the UK. I'm on the v1.2.0.2 firmware. I downloaded the v1.3.0.3 firmware (non-us) and just to make sure, i put it in the top level of the c: drive.

I've wired the AP direct to the laptop.

I browsed to the firmware file and pressed upload.

it asks me if i want to save the current config, which i dont, so I press OK. Nothing happens.

oddly when it's connected to my router and i press the "check for new version" it doesnt find one.

EDIT: i've tried this on both of the AP's so i can only think it's something i'm doing or perhaps it doesnt like the firmware/name of firmware/path of firmware.

Use IE browser or firefox is used, diable java on firefox on setting

i was using IE9.

Trying firefox now you've given me the idea....

Switching off java in:

options->content-> uncheck java script

Is that what you meant?

Nothings happening. I dont even see the dialog that warns me to save the config.

Correct on firefox setup

... Make sure any third party firewall is disable on PC and they again

Ie9 is also bring an issue lately so ie8 is highest I would recommend

thanks for the help. it steered me in the right direction. Neither IE9 or Firefox 6 would work, whatever i did. I tried IE's compatability mode but that didnt work either.

In the end I had to run XP virtual pc with IE6.

I was hoping that i'd get a faster connection with the new firmware (to play higher bitrate mkv's. As it happens my QNAP external raid unit is now not being seen by the media player downstairs, it's very intermittent.

didnt have a problem with connectivity before.
