I have recently purchased a new router (Nighthawk X4S) to replace my current (N600 Dual Band Wi-Fi Router).
I would simply like to know if i can configure these products as followed:
Modem >> New Nighthawk router >> switch >> Old N600 router
I would like to configure the nightawk as my primary router bridging via ethernet to a switch that connects to my N600 router. Can the N600 act as a bridge so that i can mantian a seamless network? Any help with this ould be greatly apreaciated.
Best regards, George
Model Version: WNDR3400 v3

Yes, that'll work. Disable the DHCP server on the N600 and connect it to the network through one of its LAN ports. Leave the WAN port disconnected.

Re: Bridging a N600 router using a Nighthawk X4S as the primary router
Thank you for the swift response!!!
One more doubt that I have. Is it possible to connect these extenders (Netgear WN3000RP Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender ) to the N600 access point as configured above. Or do they need to be connected to the main router directly in this case the Nighthawk?
Happy thanks giving to you and your loved ones, George
