Son hiding PC from attached devices?

I've been trying to keep my kids from accessing the Internet after a certain time but still allow my wife and I to access it.
Somehow I believe my son is getting around this. His MAC address does not show up in the list of attached devices eve when he is supposedly connected. He has constantly tried to get around our rules (was wired, went and bought a wireless adapter just to get around it when we would disconnect the Ethernet cable, etc) so we do not trust him.
is there some software or something else he could be doing that would make his PC "hidden" from the router even when he is online? Of course, we could change the password every night but this is not practical.

Here are my suggestion:
- Reserve IP address – Advanced > Setup > LAN Setup
- This is to make sure the IPs will be static to the MAC address
- Scheduling – Advanced > Security > Schedule
- This is where you configure the time and day
- Block Services – Advanced > Security > Block Services
- Keyword Blocking : Per Schedule
- Services : All , Port 1-65535
- IP address , range or ALL IP address

Be a parent take the devices away until such time he can be trusted reward good behavior and punish bad behavior or it will grow-up to be a snotty brat.

Re: Son hiding PC from attached devices?
Thanks guys. Yeah, believe me, we do take away all of his electronics -- particularly his cell phone. But he has a desktop PC -- not a laptop.
I've decided for now that I'm just going to have to change the password each night and change it back in the morning.
A pain in the ass, but gotta do what i have to do.

Obviously he has ZERO respect for you. Put desktop in a another room until he does. I took my daughters door off until she got the message.
