Hello evrybody,
I tried several Windows10 (64bit) PC to install a (new wich was running also) WNR614 WiFi router. Below the router model and specification-
http://www.in.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-routers/wnr614.aspx?cid=wmt_netgear_organic
I tried below way:
by typing
http://www.routerlogin.net or,
into web browsers (internet explorer, edge, mozila firefox, chrome). but Smart Wizard not showing. also followed those steps which are written into http://kb.netgear.com/27199/Why-can-t-I-access-routerlogin-com-or-routerlogin-net?cid=wmt_netgear_or...
I guess it better Netgear whould launch a software for windows pc to install a wifi router easily like TP Link do. If you dont see it then you are gona losse your market over here soon.
Thanks in Advance

Welcome to the community, @deadlock
You can always configure the NETGEAR router with or without using NETGEAR Genie.
Do you have any firewall installed on the computer? Try to disable it for the meantime.
Also, what's the IP address of the computer? Make sure that your computer is getting an IP address from the router.
You can check the IP address of your computer by going into the command prompt and type ipconfig. I suggest that you use a hardwired computer to do this.
It will show you IP addresses, look for the default gateway address. Whatever the default gateway is then that's the IP to type in the browser.
By the way, can you share the Default Gateway address?
If you're using Cable connection, visit this link to configure the router. However, if you're on DSL connection, see this page.

It's odd that in every device support software section there is no software included which can help to install a wifi router easily on a windows pc.
Visit below link
and read what DEXTER JB wrote there. It's really odd that Netgear Genie app for windows pc is so poor.

Re: WNR614 N300 Installation problem on Windows 10 (64bit) OS
@ElaineM Thanks for your reply over here with details view.
First: NETGEAR Genie apps for WIndows OS should be attached on every NETGEAR router models page. Unfortunaely, NETGEAR Genie apps create problems if IPv6 is unavailable!
Second: If anyone has to go for firewall checking, has to work with IP address or Default gateway then how it will be ok for overall people who are not expert into computer or network matters??
Netgear should work on a software for their wifi router which will have to have everything inside it that an easy going person can set up a wifi router by clicking next next next...completeled.
Again thank you very much as the way you show me to solve Netgear wifi router setup is cool and i tried those way before as i knew those way. but thanks for your reply.
Thanks in Advance

Re: WNR614 N300 Installation problem on Windows 10 (64bit) OS
@ElaineM You are welcome.
Around me here people are not wellknown with Netgear router. I make some of my known people to buy Netgear WiFi router. If the Installtion software isn't completely easy for everybody then this Netgear product will be not welcome over here. Because TP Link providing easy Installtion Disk with their product and every product has firmware update and Software on their own product webpage.
Thanks in Advance
