C7800 to be used as router while Comcast XB6 used as Gateway
Not sure if this is the right place so if someone could let me know otherwise, i'd appreciate it. I have a c7800 and I need to keep my Comcast XB6 online. I wanted to put it in bridge mode and then use my c7800 as the router, but when I connect the netgear to the xb6, nothing works.
Has anyone gotten this to work by chance?

By "it", you mean the XB6?

How, exactly, did you "connect the netgear to the xb6"? What,
exactly, did you connect to what, exactly?

I'd guess not "by chance" or by any other means.
If a C7800 had a WAN/Internet Ethernet port, then you might have a
chance. Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "Rear
Panel". Do _you_ see a WAN/Internet Ethernet port? Do you see anything
in that manual about connecting a C7800 to any other modem(+router)?
