Nighthawk D7000v2 router
Hi
My wifi cable into the house only has a Ethernet end and not a DSL end to fit into the router's port. Can I connect another way?

Your phone/dsl cable comes into the house with an RJ45 connector and not a RJ11 connector? Some RJ11 ends can look like a rj45 ethernet end but are still the standard rj11 end. Take a closer look at it.
do you have dsl who is your provider?
How was it hooked up prior?

Which came from where, exactly? (Note that "wifi cable" is not an
actual thing.)

There are two hardware versions of the D7000. The D7000[v1] has a
"red Internet port". The (newer/cheaper) D7000v2 has a shared "LAN 4 /
Ethernet WAN" port.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in each model number, and
look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.
Note that the D7000v2 User Manual is lousy with errors, especially in
parts relevant to this.
