Longer AC cord for Highthawk X6 Triband?
I wanted to mount this router up on the wall closer to the ceiling, however the power cord just isn't long enough to reach the outlet. Is there a longer cord available? (can't install a closer one)

Why "part way up the wall"? You'd already have the (ugly) router
(and its co-axial cable) "up higher in the computer room". Why not "the
big brick and extension cord end", too?
Or splice some wire into the short cord. Or search for (or build) a
suitable 12V extension cord. Many things are possible.

unfortunately it's not in a computer room. It needs to be in my dining room to make it centrally located for our two home offices. And yes, the big black spider is quite the eye sore, but i can put paintable concealers over the cables themselves, just not the bigger plugs. (I don't like the idea of splicing, seams like a fire hazard.)

It might be, if done badly, but that's a craftsmanship question. A
little soldering with a little heat-shrink tubing can result in a joint
which is at least as safe as the original wire.
So far as I can see, you need either more wire, or holes in walls, or
other/better methods of concealment.
If additional connectors are needed to build an extension cord, then
a visit to the local thrift/junk store (with your stuff in hand) might
find some old gizmo (with its AC adapter) which has matching connectors.
I haven't tried searching for a suitable commercial extension cord, but
I wouldn't be amazed if such exist.

Still true. But unless you live next door, I doubt that I can do
much more.

thank you for the ideas. I'll see what I can do with them.
